ACCOMMODATION
CEC Virtual One to One classes enable learners to maximise their time & efforts with their very own personal CEC tutor. Classes are personally tailored to focus on students’ specific needs, and are designed to go at the pace of learners desired English Language learning journey and achieve their set goals.
Each class is based upon effective communication and comprehensive work on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation; as well as improving listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Throughout the programme the CEC tutor will monitor progress and adjust the programme to reflect this and best deliver on the student’s time & efforts. Each CEC tutor is experienced in both group & One to One teaching and is highly qualified with a minimum of a CELTA teaching qualification.
Every CEC Virtual One to One Class includes access to our E-Learning platform for guided self-study, allowing students to improve upon the language & skills learned during class time. Monitor their progress, build confidence in English, and map their learning journey all from the comfort of their own home!
This course is for students who wish to:
- Develop their General English and conversational skills
- Develop a clear idea of their language learning goals and a structure to achieve them
- Cover specific language areas and modules of interest
Our Virtual one to one tuition classes focus on helping you determine your current proficiency in the language and establish clear actionable steps through guided learning to achieve your desired goals or proficiencies The programme will include:
- One to one classes catered to your personal goals
- Focus on tailored content that can be predetermined by you or decided on in conjunction with your tutor
- Activities to create proficiency in conversational daily English in an environment or situation of your choosing
- Engaging listening and reading activities
- Dedicated project work to support your grammar and vocabulary learning
We offer a range of different accommodation options for your stay in Cork. Choose an authentic Irish experience with one of our host families or more independent living in one of our residential student apartments. What type of activities can I look forward to?
We endeavour to cater for most tastes when it comes to activities, so we provide a wide choice, ranging from cultural visits to historic places of interest, to sports and lively night out. We want to make sure that you enjoy yourselves while you’re studying. Further to that, we can organise weekends away and arrange car hire if necessary.
How will I get to the school?
All of our accommodation is either within easy walking distance of the school or within easy reach by public transport.
Where is the school located?
The school is located right in the heart of Cork, on the banks of the river Lee, but we’ll keep you too busy to admire the view! It is also within close walking distance of Cork’s main bus terminus and railway station.
Who else will be studying there?
We have students from all over the world studying with us, which adds greatly to the friendly atmosphere.
Can I change my accommodation if I don’t like it?
Yes, our aim is to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible during your stay in Cork. It’s very rare for students to dislike their accommodation.
What type of accommodation can I expect?
What type of accommodation would you like? We have a full range of options from living with a host family to self-catering apartments and hotels.
Will I be able to use the internet and email?
Yes, the internet and email are available every afternoon to all students.
Will I get a certificate at the end of my course?
Yes, we’re a fully accredited and recognised school. You’ll receive official recognition of your achievement.
