To master the English language is not just something you wish to do. Nowadays it is indispensable. In the Europe of 2008 the commercial, agricultural, legal etc. barriers were knocked down with the exception of one: language, over which governments cannot legislate. As the international world becomes smaller and more integrated, language is becoming more and more important in allowing us to communicate freely and clearly. In an ideal world we should learn all languages - French, Spanish, etc. But the real facts are not the case

Cork English College is an educational establishment which has been in operation for over 30 years. In that time, we have specialised in English Language Courses for foreign youths and adults from all over the world. We are situated in Cork, which is the second largest city in Ireland. This program is organised for students between the ages of 13 and 18 who wish to come to Ireland for the High School Year, living with an Irish family and learning the language under supervision. There is an excellent opportunity to master the English language while at the same time continuing their studies at the levels accepted by the Department of Education.
