Cambridge Accelerated FCE & CAE Preparation Courses

CEC’s intensive accelerated FCE / CAE preparation courses give students a thorough preparation in the format of the exam, including helpful hints on how to achieve maximum marks in all papers. The accelerated four-week programme covers all four skills and pays particular attention to grammar and lexical areas commonly tested in the exam. As CEC is now the OPEN Cambridge Testing centre, students have the possibility to take the FCE and CAE tests in the college.
- Preparation for the Speaking Test including practice tests with experienced trainers using materials from previous FCE / CAE exams
- Additional practice in areas of weakness for homework
- E-Learning sessions to offer additional practice on the four skills
To attend the four-week intensive preparation course, students must be at level B2 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for the FCE Preparation Couse and they would need to have a C1 level for the CAE Preparation Course.
Course Includes:
- 20 Lessons per week. Each Lesson = 60 minutes
- Practice Exam Sessions every week. Preparation for Reading, Writing, Listening and Use of English papers with regular timed examination practice
- Maximum 8 - 10 pupils per class
- Certificate at end of Course
- Afternoon Social and Cultural Programme
- Evening Social Programme
- Transfers to and from Cork Airport (If host family accommodation arranged)
- Exams can be taken in Cork English College
