The Business English and TOEIC preparation course is perfect for students of business or those working in a company environment who wish to develop their English language skills and business related vocabulary and also receive an internationally recognised certificate of their level. The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) is used to measure the ability of non-native English-speaking people to use English in everyday work activities. Worldwide companies and corporations, academic institutions and government agencies accept TOEIC test results and the certificate is valid for two years from taking the test. The TOEIC exam is suitable for learners at all levels, as it tests ability not level.
Course Content: Students attend the Business English course in the morning in which they expand their business related vocabulary and skills knowledge in English while at the same time improving overall grammatical accuracy and communicative competence. Afternoon classes focus on further development of business language and skills with an emphasis on vocabulary and listening while also familiarizing students with TOEIC exam tasks. As the TOEIC exam tests communication, the primary focus is on improving students’ communication skills through vocabulary building and communicative tasks. Students also receive full practice tests from the Academic Office.
Course Includes:
- 28 Lessons per week. Each Lesson = 60 minutes
- Average 6 – 8 students per class (Max 10)
- Afternoon Social and Cultural Programme including Evening Social Programme
- Certificate at end of Course
- Transfers to and from Cork Airport (If host family accommodation arranged)
