Course Details:
Learning Business English NQAI level 5 in Ireland.
This programme is open to international students. The course combines enhancing their level of English in an interactive classroom on a course which combines English language with the study of business English and basic administration skills through the medium of English.
The course content is made up of the following components:- English as a foreign language
- Business administration
- Business Management
- Business Law
- Business English terminology
- Marketing and selling skills
- Communication
- Internet
- Work experience Placement
The course leads to a FETAC certificate in Business Studies NQAI level 5.
Assessment
Course participants are assessed in a range of ways including final written exams on completion of the course and continuous assessment processes such as regular assignments, projects and presentations incorporating inclusion and demonstration of skills acquired on the course.
What are the entry requirements for the CEC FETAC-approved course?
B1+ Intermediate level of English
The course is open to all students and those with a low entry level of English will first attend a general English course until the minimum entry level has been achieved.
What is the duration of the fetac-approved course?
Students commence the course any week of the year and the duration of the course is 40 weeks
What does the work placement component of the course involve?
The work experience placement affords the student the opportunity to put the skills acquired on the course to practical use. The placement is of 4 weeks’ duration.
Why do the FETAC-approved course at CEC ?
FETAC ( the Further Education and training Awards Council) is the national awarding body for further education and training in Ireland.
The FETAC course permits students to enhance their language ability in English to become proficient as well as empowering them to carry out general administration duties through the medium of English. It furthermore provides them with a sound understanding of business theory , allows them to acquire It renders the course graduates more attractive to potential employers and equips them to obtain employment either in Ireland or abroad as they have been equipped to pursue careers or further education in finance, marketing or international business. .
