Cambridge Accelerated FCE & CAE Preparation Courses

• 4 Week Course
• 20 Lessons per week. Each Lesson = 60 minutes
• Preparation for Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Use of English papers with regular timed examination practice
• Maximum 12 pupils per class (Average 8-10)

• Afternoon Social and Cultural Programme
• Transfers to and from Cork Airport (with Host Family)

Prepare and take the Cambridge Exam (FCE, CAE) in Cork.

CEC’s intensive accelerated FCE / CAE preparation courses give students a thorough preparation in the format of the exam, including helpful hints on how to achieve maximum marks in all papers. The accelerated four-week programme covers all four skills and pays particular attention to grammar and lexical areas commonly tested in the exam.

As CEC is now an OPEN Cambridge Testing centre, students have the possibility to take the FCE and CAE tests in the college. CEC is the ONLY computer based Testing Centre in Cork.

• Preparation for the Speaking Test including practice tests with experienced trainers using materials from previous FCE / CAE exams
• Additional practice in areas of weakness for homework
• E-Learning sessions to offer additional practice on the four skills

To attend the four-week intensive preparation course, students must be at level B2 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for the FCE Preparation Course and they would need to have a C1 level for the CAE Preparation Course.
